Magic System |
The magic system in this game allows the character to manipulate the raw power of mana. All characters under this system have the oppoortunity to use magic. Magic is organised into elements that are then used to create spells. Only spells can be used in combat, however they can be written out of combat, all magic users have the ability to write their own spells. There are three types of magic users the mage, Elementalist & Untrained wielder. |
| Mages are predominently human casters. They have the ability to write & cast spells from any element of magic however they are not as adept as elementalist's in their use of the elemental effects in their spells. Even though they are not as adept as elementalist they can cast multiple spells at once. |

| Elementalist hare largely Elven in race, however it has been known that some humans have been classically trained to be elementalists. These magic users are limited in which elements they can use in writing & casting however they gain a greater knowledge in those elements they use gaining bonuses to their spells. |

| An untrained wielder of magic is someone outside of the two major magic user professions. These are characters that have picked up a magical training proficiency that allows them to cast & write spells. |
| |
Magical Elements |
| The elements of magic are light, counter, mental, water, wind, ice, physical, nature, time, life, dark, curse, illusion, earth, lightning, shadow, summoning dimension & death. The elements are grouped into two branches, each branch ten elements. However different these elements are viewed, most magic users will dabble in both. |

| The first branch is called Arcanus, these elements are referred to as light magics. These elements are accepted as the less corrupting magics. When used by the magic user they are less likely to turn evil. |
| |
| The second branch is called Avernus, these elements are considered as heavy magics. These elements are accepted as the more corrupting magic, when used excessively the magic user can turn evil. |
| |
| The corrupting force in these elements is unknown, however it is believed that they urge the magic users toward more aggressive actions, as well as reinforcing their belief in their immortality. |

Arcanus Elements |
| Light:
This element controls all aspects of light. This element is strong against Dark. It contains the ability to create or destroy light. This means that the wielder of this element can create a blinding globe of light or make one go away. It also allows the wielder to brighten or lessen any other kind of light however it can't destroy preexisting light. This Element is weak against Shadow. |

| Counter: This element allows the wielder to dispel, block and counter all types of magic. This element is strong against Curse. Counter can be used to protect against all elements. Counter can also be used to undo effects of other elements. This element is weak against Death. |
| |
| Mental:
This element allows the wielder to reach into the minds of others. This element is strong against Illusion. The Mental element allows the wielder to manipulate the thoughts and memories of humanoids and animals. It also allows the wielder to break illusions and speak telepathically. This element is weak against Dimension. |
| |
| Water:
This element allows the wielder to manipulate water. This element is strong against Fire. Water magic allows the wielder to make water solid, or create water. This element can also give the caster the ability to manipulate water, or breath it. This element can also dissolve water. This element is weak against Lightning. |
| |
| Wind:
This element allows the wielder to control winds, meaning creating tornado's, hurricane's, gusts of wind. This element is strong against earth. This element can be used to deflect objects that are flying through the air. Wind magic can call great winds or make them dissipate. This element is weak against Summoning. |
| |
| Ice:
This element allows the wielder to create freezing temperatures, or lessen them. This element is strong against Lightning . Ice magic can freeze or thaw items, create ice shards, or lessen the affects of cold climates. This element is weak against Fire. |
| |
| Physical: This element allows the wielder to manipulate flesh. Allowing the caster to heal or kill flesh, they can also alter their flesh, changing it's colors, textures or shapes. This element can also repair physical damage, or heal defects. This element is weak against Illusion. |
| |
| Nature:
This element allows the wielder to control plant life. This element is strong against summoning. Nature magic can allow the wielder to control, manipulate, and grow plant life. It can also destroy plant life. Using this element casters can repair plants that have been burned by wildfire or create trails for quick travel. This element is weak against earth. |

| Time: This element is unimaginably powerful, however it cannot be fully controlled by mortals. This element is strong against Dimension. This element allows the wielder to see glimpses of the future or past. It also allows the wielder to hasten themselves or slow their enemies. This element is weak against Dark. |
| |
| Life: This element has control over all living things. It can make inanimate objects live, it can heal the spiritually injured, or it can injury them, It can also resurrect the fallen. This element is strong against death. This element is weak against Curse. |

Arvernus Elements |
| Dark:
This element controls all aspects of the darkness. This element is strong against time. This element can create darkness or remove it. This means the wielder can make a cloud of darkness so deep that even the most powerful visions cannot penetrate it. This element also allows the wielder to lessen darkness so that the natural darkness will be easier to see through. This element is weak against light. |

| Curse: This element allows the wielder to hex others. They can create great fear and terror of cause them great pain. They can also cause them to suffer only when they do certain things. This element also can create poison. This element is strong against life. This element is weak against Counter. |
| |
| Illusion:
This element allows the wielder to create visions of people places or things that can change the perception of others. This means they can create a dragon's den around their opponent or create a dungeon's torture chamber and make the target believe they are being tortured. This Element is strong against Physical and weak against Mental. |

| Fire:
This element gives the wielder the ability to control fire. This element is strong against ice and weak against water. With this element the caster can create fire or remove fire, they can also control it. This means they can increase the size and intensity or decrease it. They also possess the ability to control the direction in which the fire burns. |
| |
| Earth:
This element allows the caster the ability to manipulate stone and minerals. This element is strong against nature and weak against wind. The wielder can make the earth tremor or quake, they can also create large chasms hurl large boulders through the air, create large earthen spikes. They can move the earth to suit their needs. |
| |
| Lightning:
This element allows the wielder to control electricity. Lightning is strong against water and weak against ice. This element also gives the wielder the ability to call bolts of lightning from the sky or create them from nowhere. They can increase or decrease the shocking intensity of electricity. |

| Shadow:
This element allows the caster to control and manipulate the shadows. This element is strong against Light and weak against physical. This type of magic allows the caster to pass through shadows traveling great distances in a little time. They can also create shadow warriors to protect themselves. Shadows can also be used like a mirror, allowing the wielder to see events unfold from a great distance. |

| Summoning:
This element allows the caster to summon creatures from another realm to protect, aid and fight for them. These creatures can vary from any animal (excluding humanoids) known to the world. This element creates the physical form of the animal & the caster maintains it as long as desired. They are banished by either Death or dismissal. This is is strong against Wind & weak against Nature. |

| Dimension:
This element is one of the most powerful and as such is also incredibly difficult to control. This Element is strong against mental and weak against time. This magic allows the caster to see to alternate realities. Meaning they can for see outcomes to many decisions. However this element can also predict events that will never happen or events that will happen. |

| Death: This element allows the wielder to manipulate death. This means they can revive the dead or stop people from dying. The revival of the dead creates the undead. This element can all ow the caster to keep other suspended in a constant state of dying, neither will the die but they cannot recover from the suffering of death. This element is strong against Counter, and weak against life. |
